Pitlochry is situated just off the main A9 road, around 25 miles north of Perth. Pitlochry is one of Scotland’s most marvellous and vibrant places to visit and is primarily a holiday destination which caters for holiday makers all year round.

Full of history and culture, Pitlochry town has retained many stone Victorian buildings. Experience Pitlochry’s most iconic attractions, taste whiskey at the picturesque Edradour Distillery, enjoy the breath-taking Queen’s View or explore Blair Castle and Gardens. With an unlimited choice of activities and attractions to choose from, there is something to suit all ages and abilities.

Pitlochry is ideally located for travel to and from most regions of the UK and central Scotland. Approaching Pitlochry from the North or South, take the A924 (signposted for Pitlochry) off the A9. The A924 is the main street through Pitlochry.

National Bus Coaches travel from Glasgow and Edinburgh in the south to Pitlochry and from Inverness in the north.

Pitlochry Train Station is on the main rail line between London, Edinburgh and Inverness. Regular trains, and one overnight sleeper train, run through Pitlochry from London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. Direct trains between London Kings Cross and Pitlochry run twice daily making London just over 6 hours away and with no changes required.

Edinburgh Airport is the easiest international airport to get to and from Pitlochry. There are two routes to Highland Perthshire one is over the Forth Road Bridge and the other is via Stirling. The Forth Road Bridge route is probably the quickest route to Pitlochry.
